Contract Engineering

Mel-Ba Manufacturing serves both the Commercial and Military Contract Engineered Markets. On the Commercial side, Mel-Ba's customers include companies participating in the: Health Care, Aircraft Braking Systems, Off Road Vehicle Braking Systems, Burner Orifices and Lawn and Garden Equipment.

Military Contract Engineered Markets consist of supplying the Defense Logistic Agencies such as Defense Supply Center Richmond, Philadelphia, Columbus, TACOM, and Rock Island Arsenal, to name a few. The Federal Supply Classes Mel-Ba is capable of supplying are: 1670, 1470, 4730, 5305, 5306, 5307, 5310, 5325, 5342 and 5365.

Turned Products

Our Grinding capabilities including 1.66 sigma and greater on bearing journal tolerances of +/-.00015 ". By virtue of the nature of the equipment, we are capable of competitively supplying both low run volumes and high production volumes. The CNC lathes and Mills in addition to reducing tooling cost are capable of holding tight tolerances, resulting in high quality competitively priced products. Mel-Ba is also capable of supplying parts with plating, paint, heat treatment, bending, and assembly.

Equipment List

Our 23,000 sq ft. facility houses over 30 machines ranging from our, single spindle drill press to our 8"x16" CNC machines. We have the capabilities to produce aircraft quality parts. MMI has been serving clientele with both metric and american standards and can meet specified tolerances up to 0.0001" or 0.0038mm with a minimum of 1.33 CPK. Equipment is maintained by our on staff crew performing preventative maintenance as well as day to day upkeep.
